It's a textbook, it was required for my class.
Beyond that, it's very well organized, easy to read (relatively), but not lacking in detail.

It you log into the online site you can review powerpoints and take practice exams, essentially. It's very helpful. Most of the biostatistics are explained well, some could be a little more clear.
