The CompTIA Security+ SY0-301 Authorized Guide Second Edition book has an excellent presentation and is easy and comfortable to read. As a trainer of technical courses leading to certification I always seek to help my students achieve their certification goal. And as a certified professional I'm always looking for materials which help me study and see the exam topics as closely as possible.
This book covers every exam objectives of CompTIA Security+ certification. And this is what we need to look in a book conducting to any Industry certification. In addition to this, the author uses a clear way to explain every technical word and every security concept. This is not a boring book, the author manages to capture the attention page after page and chapter after chapter. It is important to use an entertaining and simple language, but without losing the seriousness and importance of the topics, even more in a subject as abstract as computer security.
At the end of each chapter, the author places a series of questions that help to measure our shortcomings and strengths, so that we can feel comfortable before starting to read another chapter or reread the chapter if necessary.
One of the most valuable aspects of this book is the digital material that accompanies it. The practice engine questions serve as a real exam simulator for people who have not taken yet certification exams. This practice engine shows what will be the in the actual test. Is a great guidance and an important support tool which help to develop some trust or confidence prior the real test. And this is very important during the certification process.
