Free ICD-9-CM 2012 Expert for Physicians
As medical coders, we all have a copy of this book for this year, last year, and probably the year before that. But let's look at this for what it is, it's really expensive firewood. They won't change but a few codes over the next year or so before ICD-10 takes effect, but they will be critical and we will all need the 2013 edition. That's why I can't take it anymore! I've switched to eBooks:
Super ICD-9-CM Volumes 1 & 2 (Diseases and Injuries) (SuperICD9 2012) is way cheaper and it is actually faster to use. The eBook has links around all the codes to take you right to the tabular index. It's the same text .. just no more lugging around heavy books and no more torn bags, plus it's like only like 20% of the cost of hard copies.
I use the same eBook on my PC and my Kindle Fire, it's great.
My work did not supply our books so I bought them here and the price ws cheaper tha any place else.
