Free Introduction to Healthcare Information Technology
I took the Healthcare IT test 3 times and failed each time because the information that I needed to pass the test just wasn't available. Someone told me about this book by Mark Ciampa, so I ordered it. After studying for two weeks with this new material, I was able to finally pass the test! If you are looking to pass, you WILL need this book. It is everything you need to know!

First a point of qualifying myself for this review. I am a full-time faculty member at a California Community College and do not have a relationship with the book's authors or its publishers. I hold a variety of certifications (e.g. CISSP, MCSE: Security, MCITP: Virtualization, VCP(4 and 5), and Healthcare IT Technician), and feel qualified to write an accurate review of this book. It is simply excellent and should serve as your sole source of information needed to pass the HIT-001 exam. Read it, understand its content, and take the exam. You will likely pass. I recommend it.
