Free Hands-On Ethical Hacking and Network Defense
I bought this book for one of my college classes and for one it was about $40 cheaper than what the college had to offer, and secondly its a good way to learn the basics.
A Special note to who ever is considering on buying this book, If you buy it used make sure the CD is included, I bought mine and there was no CD that came with the book. But for the most part you can go online and get the software that they require for free.
