Free CISA Certified Information Systems Auditor Study Guide
Well, long wait is over and I am a happy CISA exam passer. Just got my results from ISACA after an unreasonably long 8-week waiting, and I am exuberantly glad to have passed it, but not surprised since I had a lot of confidence going into the exam and taking it due to a very good overview provided by this study guide. I read the guide twice and try to use other sources to get an in-depth understanding of the concepts described in D. Cannon's study guide. This book will provide a solid theoretical foundation of the main concepts covered in the exam in detail. Overall, it is an excellent overview of the areas that you need to know to take the exam and feel alright about questions presented.
The only suggestion (an important one) I have for the new aspirants is to use the Official ISACA questions-answers data base software module. The questions presented in this software module that can by purchased directly from ISACA give you an additional idea what the exam material going to be like. So, in my opinion, this study guide and the exam simulation (question-answer database) by ISACA are sufficient to get well prepared for the CISA exam. No need to purchase the Official ISACA study guide - it's pretty dry and uselessly technical.

A very good study aid for someone who wants to take the CISA exam who but has no auditing background.
I already had my CISSP and ITIL v3 Foundation certifications before deciding to take the CISA exam so please keep this in mind.
The book helped me overcome my biggest hurdle of understanding the Auditor mindset when coupled with the official ISACA study guides.
The book was easy to read and understand as a far as study guides go and the author's style worked great for me unlike Peter Gregory's books.
This book alone will not be enough to pass the exam unless you have very good understanding of auditing and security concepts.
I will find out in 8 weeks if I pass this exam and update accordingly.
