Free Roadmap to Information Security: For IT and Infosec Managers
Information security management has become incredibly complex over the last few years. In addition to the traditional issues of "technical" information security management (malware, network security, vulnerability management, IDS, etc.) the manager in a modern IT organization has to be able to converse with almost every other discipline, and now must play a critical role in both governance and customer relationship management. So while information security was once limited to IT and physical security, its impact on the enterprise has extended to human resources, risk-management, legal, and public relations. Professors Whitman and Mattord have done an excellent job in distilling this complex field into a series of organized, very readable chapters that walk IT and security management through these critical areas. The manager's "checklist" at the end of each chapter keep the material organized and allow for any easy mapping to information security management frameworks such as ISO 27002.

I used this for two classes and a 4-H project, it's a great book! I would buy this again, no regrets.
