Free Lab Manual for Nelson/Phillips/Steuart's Guide to Computer Forensics and Investigations
Like previous reviewers I, too, bought this book for an online course. When received it WAS sealed but without the access code card that comes with the book that I wound up buying in the school bookstore (I wound up with two of the same book and one code card). The book at the bookstore was almost twice the cost of the one here on Amazon and that was the reason: there is no access code card with the version sold on Amazon.
It's not Amazon's fault the ISBN Numbers are different or we are looking for a cheaper version of a book that is not complete........WE made the mistake of thinking the books were the same, and they are not. I had both here until I gave Amazon's version to a cousin who is going into Law Enforcement and kept the 2nd version I purchased at the college bookstore for class. Fortunately I had time for all this and took the course last Spring.
The paper used in the Amazon version is also different from the pages in the book bought at the bookstore: Amazon's version is on cheaper paper while the bookstore version is shiny and appears more expensive paper. There are also more pages in the bookstore version even though the title of the books are identical. The books both have two ISBN numbers and one is for the Amazon version and one for the access code "card" (It is only an insert at the back of the book about the size of a credit card). If you want the SCHOOL VERSION pay the extra money to get the access code. I still have 23 hours left on my card but am not sure if it will work now (book is put away with the code). I'm also not sure if I could sell the book on Amazon given that code was connected to my school ID #. I don't have to think about that because I don't plan to sell the 2nd book and gave the 1st one away.
