This book is really pleasant to read and learn from. At first I took cbtnuggets.com videos for CompTIA A+ and I am really happy I did it. 95% of the info you need its there but sometimes you need some more specific info on particular subjects like how basses work, clock speeds etc. This book can fill this gap and at the same time it will be really enjoyable to read because of the clear and concise writing approach that the author uses. One more advantage is that it covers all new topics CompTIA A+ has included like Mobile Devices Chapter.

The CompTIA A+ Exam has been around for years, and this is a book designed to get you up to speed with its latest version (as of 2013, anyway). It covers all of the topics that you'll need and also provides chances to practice on the kinds of questions you'll see on the exam. It's nice that their end-of-chapter quizzes include answer keys that both explain why one answer is right and why the other answers are wrong.
It's also a nice touch that you get an ebook copy of the text that you can search for specific terms or just use to read from at times when you don't want to lug a fairly heavy text around.
I personally recommend making sure you have more than one source of information handy. There are helpful videos and such online on many of these topics. Sometimes something that makes absolutely zero sense at first will seem perfectly clear when someone different explains it. Still, you need something to make up the core of your study plan, and this is a great choice.
