Free Web-Based Labs for Security+ Printed Access Card for Ciampa's Security+ Guide to Network Security Fundamentals
This software was required for a college course as a companion for Campa's Security+ book. The labs were no different than the end of chapter labs in the text. All of the labs could have been completed by the student on their own computer. The purpose of the remote lab software is to provide the student a common workstation that they don't have to worry about messing up, however, any student taking Security+ should be advanced enough to run virtual machines and do the labs in there. Many of these labs were unable to be completed in the remote-in environment and our professor required us to do them on our local machines and submit screen-captures anyway.
The book was good, but I recommend skipping the software if it isn't required for a course.
