Free CompTIA Security+ Certification Practice Exams
I bought this book for one thing, Questions and Answers. I've already read through the CompTIA Security+ Study guide few months ago. I was planning to take the SY0-201 back in June 2011 but couldn't find the time to take it. I've also read through Security+ Passport SY0-201. I wasn't sure if I wanted to buy another Study Guide, so I bought this book. I needed Questions and Answers with quick explanation.
I still took the SY0-201 but I read this book before taking it. I passed the SY0-201, and I think if I had tried, I would have passed the 301, but didn't want to take the risk of failing. This book helped a lot, many of the questions looked familiar.
If you don't know the topics covered in Security+, this book is not for you.
I've been in IT for few years now, so this book was a quickest way for me to refresh the topics and take the exam.
Without this book, it would have taken me some extra time to get ready for the exam. There are also other ways you can get the Questions and Answers only, but I've heard sometimes the answers are wrong, and they don't tell you why.
This book tells you what the correct answer is, and why in a short explanation. It also tells you why the other answers are wrong. This helped me a lot.
I would recommend this book for people who think they're ready to take the test, but not sure if they can pass it.
