I was surprised at how thorough and concise this book could be at the same time. It uses effective diagrams and precise language to communicate many of the complexities of biochemistry. It's probably more useful if you've had prior exposure to the subject.

The text of this book is very concise and effective at communicating the concepts you need to know for your board exams as a physician. Unfortunately, the publishers did not see fit to include legible versions of the figures, tables, and diagrams in the electronic version. The pictures are very low-resolution, and when blown-up to a reasonable size, appear very blurry. I have no idea why they refuse to include the higher-quality versions that they used to produce the print version, but this takes the review down by at least two stars.
