Free Medical Quality Management: Theory and Practice
A very well written book on the principles of quality improvement, quality measurement and patient safety. What is also very helpful and unique about this book is that it covers aspects of ethics, law, organizational management and utilization management as it relates to quality. I especially enjoyed the easy reading layout, case studies and examples from multiple organizations. A must read for all physicians as well as administrators of health plans engaged in quality and related fields!

Concepts that have existed in the business world have been transplanted to the health care setting and applied in a very practical way. I particularly liked the first chapter by Prathibha Varkey that looks into brainstorming, process mapping and fish bone analysis.
A must read especially for not only medical students and practitioners but also administrators.
Good Work!
